Van Van Oil

Van Van oil is a popular mystical oil used in spiritual practices and magic rituals, particularly in the Hoodoo and Conjure traditions. The oil is believed to bring good luck, clear negative energies, and attract positive vibrations. Here is a simple recipe for making Van Van oil:

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup carrier oil (such as almond, jojoba, or grapeseed oil)
- 1 tablespoon dried lemon peel
- 1 tablespoon dried lemongrass
- 1 tablespoon dried vetiver root
- 1 tablespoon dried palmarosa
- 1 tablespoon dried citronella
- 1 tablespoon dried ginger root
- 1 tablespoon dried cinnamon chips
- 1 tablespoon dried calamus root
- 1/2 teaspoon essential oil of lemon

Instructions:
1. Combine all the dried herbs and roots in a clean, dry jar.
2. Pour the carrier oil over the herbs and roots, making sure they are fully submerged.
3. Close the jar tightly and shake well.
4. Store the jar in a cool, dark place and let it sit for at least 2 weeks.
5. Shake the jar daily to agitate the herbs and promote infusion.
6. After 2 weeks, strain the oil through a cheesecloth or fine-mesh strainer into a clean, dry bottle.
7. Add the essential oil of lemon and shake well to combine.
8. Label the bottle and store it in a cool, dark place until ready to use.

Note: Van Van oil can be used in various ways, such as anointing candles, dressing mojo bags, or adding a few drops to a ritual bath. However, it should not be ingested or used directly on the skin without proper dilution.
